So who let their 911 stick one in a Beetle?

Are we done with black yet? Don’t hold your breath, as VW is following Porsche and BMW’s latest dark act, providing a limited edition of cloaked vehicles with special paint, trim and tires. Now far from emasculating and upped in the masculinity quotient, the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle Black Turbo Edition ($25,720) aims to draw 600 buyers with its 2.0 liter TFSI turbo four-banger from the Golf GTI, DSG dual clutch transmission, 18 inch wheels with black highlights, fiery red brake calipers, a “Turbo” decal emblazoned on the side, a non-offensive lip spoiler and a swanky carbon fiber trimmed interior. You can pretty much say goodbye to the limp-wristed Beetle from the last generation. This time, it’s a head-turner for the right reasons.
